Major job duties

Collaborate with the C-PLAN team in the creation and expansion of professional development courses and guides to be used by a variety of campus constituencies on multiple platforms. This position will provide excellent learning management systems and instructional design experience, as well as project coordination experience. General duties will include attending meetings and using D2L Course Builder, Instructional Design Wizard, and other D2L/BrightSpace tools to develop and input course materials.


About: C-PLAN is a Minnesota State collaborative housed at Metro State that supports the 26 colleges and 7 universities in credit for prior learning (CPL) implementation. C-PLAN’s campus partners contribute to the successful implementation of credit for prior learning at Minnesota State by developing and sharing best practices.

Qualifications and experience

1. Instructional and/or user design experience.
2. Knowledge of learning management systems, especially D2L/BrightSpace.
3. Experience with Microsoft 365, including SharePoint
4. Proven writing skills in variety of formats.
5, Skills in carrying out secondary research to curate content for various web-based platforms.
6. Ability to work independently on a range of projects.

Recommended/Desired:
1. Basic knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS.
2. Project Coordination Experience.
