Our AQIP Quality Checkup Visit is fast-approaching! The Higher Learning Commission’s Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP) will be on campus March 25-27 to conduct a Quality Checkup Visit. The Quality Checkup is a collaborative effort, calling for active participation by faculty, staff, administrators and students. It is a chance to demonstrate our commitment to continuous improvement within the AQIP framework, engage in dialogue among ourselves and with our site visitors, and receive advice on moving forward.
Please plan to take part in the Quality Checkup Visit throughout the 2.5 day visit. The visit schedule will be posted on the University web site and portal. The schedule is subject to change, however, so be sure to check back as visit dates near.
Three trained, experienced AQIP Reviewers will determine whether Metropolitan State continues to meet The Higher Learning Commission’s Criteria for Accreditation. They will also determine whether we are using quality management principles and building a culture of continuous improvement, which is required for participation in the Academic Quality Improvement Program (AQIP). Our Quality Checkup Visit team is comprised of:
- Paul L. Gaston, Ph.D., Trustee Professor and Provost at Kent State University, Ohio.
- Jian R. Sun, Ph.D., Director of Assessment and Professor at the University of Rio Grande, Ohio.
- Kimberly Thompson, Director of Assessment and College Research at Regis University in Denver, Colorado.
They will prepare for the visit by reviewing the Quality Checkup report we have written. They will also review relevant organizational and AQIP file materials, particularly the organization’s last Systems Appraisal Feedback Reportand the Commission’s internal Organizational Profile, which summarizes information reported by the institution in its Annual Institutional Data Update.
