- Minnesota Association for the Education of Young Children is local affiliate of The National Association for the Education of Young Children,the nation's largest and most influential organization of early childhood educators and others dedicated to improving the quality of programs for children from birth through third grade.
- MNASCD - The state affiliate of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, a great resource for local professional development and links to many other organizations dealing with teaching, learning, curriculum and instructional best practices for educators at all levels.

- Fair Test - "The National Center for Fair and Open Testing" is its full name, and that's its mission. This non-profit promotes proper use and abhors the misuse of testing. With the nation's No Child Left Behind law, it's become a very active organization but has been around for decades.

- ASCD's Lexicon of Learning - ASCD, our parent organization, has created a glossary of educational terms. It is particularly useful in explaining terms to parents and other lay people who don't understand the jargon, and you are also likely to find a new term for your own use. - Classroom Connect - A highly recommended resource to links that match educators' agendas.
- Education Week - Education Week Magazine's electronic site. It focuses on contemporary issues in education across the nation and is often descriptive of educational programs.
- ERIC Clearinghouse - Synopses and abstracts of articles published in nearly every professional educational journal is compiled by the ERIC Clearinghouse: many doctoral dissertations, too. There are ways to order full text copies if you don't have a library handy.
- FREE (Federal Resources for Educational Excellence) - Hundreds of teaching/learning resources published by the federal government, plus links among agencies and organizations for even more resources.
- SciMath MN - Dedicated to strong performance in science and mathematics for all students. Teachers will enjoy information on effective teaching strategies, performance data, and the strong research on learning in math and science. Contains links to many other sites that focus on practical applications in both disciplines.
- Sound Learning – Sound Learning is a launching point to Minnesota Public Radio's content on the Web. This site is designed exclusively for teachers to access timely text and audio clips for use in the classroom.
