Metropolitan State University provides three distinct programs to improve the access, retention and graduation of targeted students. Our commitment is to improve academic success and college confidence.
TRIO: Upward Bound (TRIO:UB) (Colllege Access for high school students) - a federally-funded program (U.S. Department of Education) which serves first-generation and limited income high school students at Washington Technology Magnet. Our commitment is to improve academic success and college confidence for high school students to gain preparedness and access to college.
TRiO:Student Support Services (TRIO:SSS) (College Retention for undergraduate Metro students) - a federally-funded program (U.S. Department of Education) which serves first-generation, limited income and students with disabilities who are enrolled at Metropolitan State University as degree-seeking undergraduate students. Our commitment is to improve the retention and graduation through structured and enhanced academic support.
Power of YOU Bridge-Scholars (College Retention for POY transfer students) - a state and foundation-funded program, which provides financial and academic enhancement support for students transferring to Metropolitan State University from St. Paul College or MCTC Power of YOU programs.
