Residency
- Resident status shall be determined at the time of application according to the permanent residence of the student.
- Students must have resided in Minnesota for one calendar year immediately prior to the start of attendance.
- Residency must not be primarily for the purpose of attending a college or university.
- Individuals from foreign countries who are eligible to remain in the USA on a permanent basis and meet the above requirements are considered Minnesota residents. However, a document attesting to the immigrant status of the student is required as evidence.
- Students may appeal residency determinations by contacting the Registration Desk in Founders Hall on the St. Paul Campus for an appeal form.
