Institutional Effectiveness and Technology (IET) at Metro State University is committed to the mission of teaching and learning by providing support and services critical to academic success. IET is responsible for strategic leveraging of technology resources, operations, and services that align with the initiatives and goals of the University. IET is also responsible for university-wide strategic planning, project management and service management.

Data and Reporting Services

Our Institutional Effectiveness and Research team offers a comprehensive range of university data and reporting services, as well as establishing and maintaining data standards and governance framework. These resources are designed to facilitate the fulfillment of administrative, programmatic, and analytical requirements, empowering informed decision-making, fostering student success, and advancing strategic planning through a continuous, data-driven improvement approach.

Project Management

The Project Management Office (PMO) is a centralized project management resource for the university. The PMO manages and reports progress on university division work-plan projects. Resources, templates, tools and guides are provided by the PMO for others across the university to use to manage their work.

Service Management

Our Service Management Office (SMO) manages our service portal including our service catalog and knowledge base. SMO serves as a source of guidance for applying service management (ITIL) best practices across the University that facilitate service delivery outcomes that are efficient, effective and add value for the faculty, staff and students we serve.

IT Operations & Solutions Architecture

IT Operations & Solutions Architecture develops and maintains many of the core systems which provide the underlying foundation for our administrative and educational systems and tools by providing application development, integration services, and support for custom and third-party solutions.
