Major job duties
The Institute for Professional Development creates professional development opportunities for corporations, nonprofits, government entities, individuals, and the Metro State community. Focusing on DEI, Business Architecture, leadership and management, IPD creates truly customized training experiences to cause others to flourish.
IPD is a small department, looking for a student worker who can pitch in on a variety of tasks and projects. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting and directing clients and their guests.
- Data entry and organization
- Researching clients and prospects
- Event set up and clean up
- Compiling and assembling course material and marketing materials
- Other duties as assigned
IPD can be flexible in matching the right student worker's skills and schedule.
Student workers will gain skills and work experience in a professional, office setting.
Qualifications and experience
- Professional decorum
- Dependable and reliable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, good critical thinking skills
- Flexible to work both on site at Metro State's Dayton's Bluff Library and remotely
- Initiative and ability to work independently both on site and remotely
- Proficient with MS Office applications – Word, Excel, Outlook
