EDU 470 Student Teaching in the Urban High School (grades 9-12)
Supervised student teaching for 12 weeks, full-time or the equivalent with students in urban grades 9-12 for teacher candidates seeking grades 5-12 licensure. Weekly reflections, periodic seminars with other student teachers, and completion of a detailed performance assessment are also required.
Fee: $275 for required edTPA submission. Prerequisites: All courses required for the licensure program and admission to Student Teaching. Note: Application and approval are required to student teach. Placement made by arrangement with UTP Director of Field Experiences in urban classrooms and are typically Monday through Friday for 12 full-time weeks during the school day.
