ETHS 499T Ethnic Studies Capstone Theory Seminar

This course is designed to engage ethnic studies majors in a final integrative experience in regularly scheduled seminars. Students explore major issues surrounding race, ethnicity and culture while completing a senior research project.

General

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Ethnic Studies concepts, methodology and application.
  • Comparatively examine the historical, political, social and cultural implications of structural inequalities in the United States.
  • Recognize and discuss various methodological approaches within Ethnic Studies.
  • Exhibit a solid grasp of conceptual and theoretical schemata within the inter-disciplinary approaches pertinent to Ethnic Studies.
