Looking for ways to plug in at Metro State? Our alumni have always been excellent at giving back and paying forward. Check here for Alumni Relations opportunities to serve.
Join us for a week of meaningful impact! Metro State’s Week of Service is an opportunity for alumni, students, and employees to volunteer, connect, and make a positive difference in Metro State’s community.
September 23–27
During the Week of Service, alumni and community members can support students and our community by donating reusable grocery bags to Metro State’s Student Parent Center. These grocery bags will be used in the Food Pantry throughout the year. There will be designated bins in the Saint Paul Campus Founders Hall, St. John’s Hall, Library and Learning Center, and Student Center. In addition, you can drop off reusable grocery bags to the alumni table at Fall Fest on Saturday, September 28.
September 24, 5–6:15 p.m.
On Tuesday, September 24, we will have a group of volunteers help clean-up the Student Community Garden on the Saint Paul Campus. We will meet at the Student Center prior to get a quick orientation.
September 26, Union Gospel Mission, 435 East University Avenue, Saint Paul, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
On Thursday, September 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., we will be serving lunch at Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities. This is a great opportunity to serve our unhoused neighbors with nutritional meals. Volunteers will meet directly at Union Gospel Mission (435 University Ave. East, St. Paul, MN). Sign up to get more details.
Alumni Relations and the Career Center invite you to take advantage of these fantastic opportunities to come together and make a difference. We hope to see you there, spreading positivity and goodwill throughout the campus and beyond!
