For more information, visit the Midwest Student Exchange Program website.
The Midwest Student Exchange Program is a multi-state tuition reciprocity program. Through MSEP, public institutions charge students no more than 150% of the in-state resident tuition rate for specific programs. Metropolitan State's tuition and fees for MSEP participants are based on 150% of the resident rates per credit, rather than the full non-resident rate.
To participate in MSEP at Metropolitan State, you must be:
- Enrolled in Metropolitan State University as an non-resident student
- A legal resident of Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska or Ohio
Only on-campus courses are covered by MSEP at Metropolitan State University. Online courses are not eligible.
MSEP participants use Metropolitan State's regular application process for admission to the university. Because we have rolling admissions, you can apply anytime! All application materials must be received three weeks before the start of a semester to be considered for admission for that semester. You are encouraged to complete your application early in order to allow for receipt of an official transfer credit evaluation (DARS) and completion of new student orientation, any required assessments, and financial aid packaging.
