Are you completing the Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute with Nexus Community Partners?

Good work! Good news!

You also can earn graduate credit at Metro State when you complete the BCLI Program successfully!

Nexus-Metro State University partnership

Through the Nexus-Metro State University partnership, students who complete the BCLI program can apply as Visiting Students at the university, and be awarded four credits of graduate-level work. The credit is approved by Metro State faculty who reviewed the BCLI curriculum.

How to earn your Metro State credits

  1. Participate in and complete the BCLI program.
  2. Receive your Certificate of Completion.
  3. Apply for free to Metro State as a Visiting Student, using the special partnership application form below:
  1. When you apply to Metro State, send your Certificate of Completion to the Admissions Office.
  2. Four credits of graduate credit will be awarded to your Metro State transcript, with no tuition or fees charged. These credits can be part of the Master’s in Advocacy and Political Leadership program if you are admitted for a degree. You will be able to obtain a student or official copy of your transcript.
  3. Explore Metro State’s Master’s in Advocacy and Political Leadership (MAPL) and learn how to apply.

Please note that the Visiting Students application is temporary for the recording of the credits for this partnership only. To use the credits for a degree program, you must apply as a degree-seeking student.

Credits awarded through this partnership do not count as Metro State University residency credits.

Other higher education institutions to which you might apply as a degree-seeking student may or may not accept these credits in transfer. Transfer acceptance is up to the receiving institution.
