Join the Gordon Parks Gallery and the Society of Minnesota Sculptors for a reception opening the society's first major group exhibit in five years.

This show promises a diverse assortment of media (from cast metal, fired clay, fabricated steel, or found art assemblages) and styles of presentation (from highly realistic to the absurdly abstract).

Exhibiting artists include Molly Barrett, Alex Chinn, Kate Christopher, MaryAnn and Gary Carlson, Kyle Fokken, James Gabbert, Heidi Hoy, Jon Kamrath, Kristin Lebben, Nick Legeros, Linda Marsh, Addie Motzko, Jane Powers, Bryan Starry, Gerri Summerville, and Thomas Zahn.

This year’s juror, retired St. Olaf sculpture Professor Mac Gimse, will be placing awards before opening night.

The opening reception takes place 5–7:30 p.m., Thursday, January 23, with curatorial remarks at 7. Gallery hours are 1–7 p.m., Monday to Thursday, and 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Saturdays, January 25 to February 20.
