Career Readiness Core Competence: Digital Literacy
Dr. Foluso Ayeni is an assistant professor of MIS and the coordinator of the SAP ERP curriculum in the College of Business and Management at Metro State University, Minnesota. Dr. Ayeni empowers students with service learning and community engagement-based learning. He has chaired, co-chaired, and been a member of the technical committee for numerous international conferences and workshops, demonstrating his competence and contributions beyond the classroom. He has also been involved in numerous grant proposals and funding activities. His studies have been published in reputable publication outlets. Dr. Ayeni’s research interests span various areas, including ICT for development, educational technology, artificial intelligence usage and adoption, big data technology in healthcare, and behavioral cybersecurity. Dr. Ayeni stays at the forefront of his field as an active member of prominent organizations such as the ICT University Foundation based in Louisiana where he currently serves as the vice president, Board of Trustees, National Center for Science Education (NCSE), Midwest United States Association for Information Systems (MWAIS) where he currently serves as the director of Membership and Publicity, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Louisiana Academy of Sciences (LAS), American Educational Research Association (AERA), Association for Information Systems (AIS), and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has chaired and co-chaired several PhD dissertations. Dr. Ayeni is a recipient of the Presidential Lifetime Achievement award signed by the immediate past U.S. President, Joe Biden.
