In this session, the Entrepreneurship Center will be introduced to the community. This collaborative initiative by Minneapolis College and Metro State University aims to support students and community small businesses with education, customized training, and resources, emphasizing inclusion and anti-racism. The center's main goals are to enhance students' education, support social entrepreneurship, and foster economic development in the Twin Cities community.
Rassule Hadidi, PhD, is Dean of the College of Business and Management at Metro State University. He has more than four decades of academic leadership experience, has published more than 70 peer-reviewed articles in professional journals and in international, national, and regional conference proceedings and has made more than 65 presentations at various regional, national, and international professional conferences. Hadidi is the founding and currently serves as the Managing Editor of the Journal of the Midwest Association for Information Systems that is published from Metro State University and the AIS-eLibrary. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, currently a member of the Board of Directors of Rotary Club 9, a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Advancement of Management, and was recognized by Marquis Who’s Who for Excellence in Education in 2023.
Vincent A. Thomas, JD, serves as the Dean of the School of Business and Economics at Minneapolis College. After a nine-year career as a public finance attorney at the Briggs and Morgan law firm in the Twin Cities, Dean Thomas joined the administration at Hamline University School of Law as Assistant Dean of Students and Adjunct Professor of Law. At Hamline, he taught Professional Responsibility, the introductory course in legal ethics, and served in committee leadership roles with both the Association of American Law Schools and the Law School Admissions Council. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Minnesota Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company, and a Commissioner on the General Assembly Permanent Judicial Commission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).
The College of Business and Management Lunch and Learn is part of an ongoing monthly series of presentations and discussions hosted by the College of Business and Management. This conversation is open to all educators, administrators, instructional designers, and students of Minnesota State Education System. This series allows everyone to meet during lunchtime (Central Standard) and bring their questions and ideas that will include conversation starters and an opportunity for both large and small group conversations.
