COVID-19 has revealed the fragilities and risks that reside in global supply chains. Supply chain disruptions can emerge from areas that were not anticipated and have far-reaching consequences. Managing supply chain risks requires taking a pluralistic perspective to better anticipate, respond, and recover from disruptions. This talk examines supply chain risk from diverse perspectives and shares some theories that underlie each perspective. With each perspective, Professor Linderman also shares research that helps advance scholarship and offers practical insights. This talk hopes to help develop a framework that engages practitioners and scholars to better managing supply chain risk.
