Virtual Participation: Individuals who would like to participate virtually can download project directions and event materials by joining via Zoom (be sure to indicate Yes, virtually via Zoom when registering).

This event includes:

Visual art exploration

  • Look at how foods’ place in culture is expressed through visual media.
  • Create a print that expresses your own view on art and culture. Perfect for new spring decoration in your space!

Literature review

  • Skim short stories and poetry that articulate culture via food.
  • Compose your own short poem for home decor or a gift.

“Grow”ing culture

  • Discover what food is grown in various cultures.
  • Plant your own in-home crops.

A free meal will be provided!
