What will be the impact of election results? What campaign strategies were successful? What can we learn about politics in our cities following these results?

The annual post-election event to bring our community, activists, and students together in a reflective space. The event highlights the representative and direct democracy efforts in this year’s local elections, specifically, to discuss the ballot initiatives in the cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, as well as the dynamics of local campaigns for office.

Panelists are those involved in election and campaign efforts to pass rent control in Saint Paul and redefine public safety in Minneapolis. They offer perspectives, analyses, and thoughts on their experiences in the most recent election. Topics include the Saint Paul rent control initiative, the Yes4Minneapolis initiative, and local candidates.
