Students: Submit your creative expressions for Metro State's 2023 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration!
We invite students to submit their creative expressions that relate to our 2022 theme! The theme is Building CommUNITY: Uplift, Heal and Empower for Radical Inclusion. These expressions will be performed during our program on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. As an alternative, students can submit a recording that will be played during the event.
Here are more details:
- Expressions can be of the student’s choosing, including: poetry, spoken word, dance, music, essay or something else. Students may make one submission.
- Up to 5 submissions will be selected by a small review team.
- The students who submissions are selected will:
- Receive a small gift of $75
- Perform their expression at the program in January (or submit a recording to be played)
- Be invited to the program in January as a special guest (along with family or loved ones)
- Be specifically acknowledged during the program in January
