Labor Spring Event: Protecting Precarious Workers, Tuesday, April 16, 6–8:30 p.m.

The Master in Advocacy and Political Leadership (MAPL) program joins with MN AFL-CIO, Education Minnesota, Labor Education Service at University of Minnesota, and LIUNA (the laborers union) to host an event called “Protecting Precarious Workers” on Tuesday, April 16, from 6–8:30 p.m., on the Saint Paul campus, New Main, Great Hall. This event is organized in conjunction with the policy work being done to address worker misclassification at the state level during this legislative session.

The event includes keynote address by Nancy Leppink, former MN commissioner of the Department of Labor and Industry.
The keynote will be followed by a panel of policy leaders and worker activists, including Attorney General Keith Ellison, Jake Schwitzer from North Star Policy Action, and IFO member Faith Ericson.

Snacks from Afro Deli will be served. This event is free and open to the community.
