Soil Science: The World Beneath Our Feet

First Saturday Science Soil Science: the world beneath our feet

Join the First Saturday Science (FSS) crew as we dive into the science of SOIL SCIENCE: The World Beneath Our Feet. Soil is an important resource on Earth. Water, nutrients, and minerals are contained in soil. Soil is the habitat of many living things and the substance that most plants grow in.

Our team will show you how build a soil layer model, test soil pH, create a soil texture jar, and other hands-on activities! Learn more at home! Watch our at home video series at: www.youtube.com/@firstsaturdayscience.

This month's take home kit includes a soil texture kit. Kids of all ages are invited to explore science with fun laboratory experiments and hands-on activities! This event is free and open to the public. You won't want to miss this one!
