Join the Advocacy, Political Leadership, and Service Club in the Great Hall for dinner and a panel discussion with Minnesota labor leaders.
Labor unions are entering a period of intense organizing, following the disruptions caused by the COVID pandemic and the “great resignation.” Are we in the middle of a labor re-awakening? What challenges and opportunities face organized labor in Minnesota? Come find out!
Panelists include Sheigh Freeberg, secretary-treasurer of UNITE-HERE Local 17 and candidate for office; Kong Xiong, a staff member at Education Minnesota and a current student in the MAPL program at Metro State; and Kimberly Nelson, political director with the Carpenters Union. Food provided.
