Join the East Side Seed Library on Thursday, February 8 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the GROW-IT Center for our Winter Seed Sowing Event!

Learn how to start native plants and plants for your vegetable garden through a technique called winter sowing. Get a head start on growing plants without the need of a greenhouse. Learn the skills you need to create your own micro greenhouse with just a milk jug and some soil. All participants will receive one winter sowing kit (milk jug green house, soil, and seeds). There will be a pop-up library with gardening books that are available for checkout (must have a Metro State ID or Metro State community borrower card). This event is a collaboration between Urban Roots, Metro State University Library, and the Dayton's Bluff branch of the Saint Paul Public Library.
