Biography
Professor Tracy Smetana teaches PADM 600 Public Administration Foundations. She is currently the Planner for the Energy Assistance Program at the Minnesota Department of Commerce. Smetana previously held various positions with the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission’s Consumer Affairs Office and was a Case Manager with the Employment and Training Center at Pine Technical and Community College.
In addition to her public sector experience, she has served on several nonprofit boards. She is currently the Board Chair at A Place for You, a transitional shelter for adults located in Pine City, Minnesota.
Smetana has a BA in Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas and a MPA from Metropolitan State University.
