About us
The Instructional Support Group, a subdivision of the Center for Educational Innovation, invites you to reach out for assistance at any time throughout the semester. The Instructional Support Group offers support for the design of courses and leveraging your design choices within the learning management system. The Instructional Support group includes instructional designers and faculty mentors.
Instructional designers
The instructional designers support faculty with course design and development. They can assist with communication, instructional and assessment strategies, and course alignment. Other topics include high impact practices, differentiated learning, increasing student engagement, Quality Matters, and incorporating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into course design. Instructional designers provide training workshops, iterative continuous development support, and individualized consultations.
Academic technology services

Faculty mentors
The faculty mentors are select faculty peers able to provide insights unique to teaching at Metro State University. They can offer assistance pertaining to andragogy, student interactions, classroom management, and connecting to faculty resources. Mentors provide training workshops, peer-to-peer consultations, classroom observations, and peer feedback.
