The Art Exhibition Committee is pleased to announce the results of the 2024 Art Purchase Award. Four works have been selected for acquisition. Three artworks were executed by students. One was created by an alumna.
The work includes:
- Kim Reedich, Always an Angel, Never a God, acrylic on canvas
- Kimber Starnes, Sanctuary, acrylic on canvas
- Andrew Houts, Natural Hair 2c, archival pigment print
- Rayshele Kamke, Scarlet Echoes, photography
The works have been placed in classrooms on the Saint Paul campus.
The annual Art Purchase Award is to encourage the growth and development of student and alumni studio artists and to elevate the profile of the arts on campus. The Art Exhibition Committee orchestrates up to seven $1,000 awards, selected on the basis of artistic merit.
The 2024 Art Purchase Award is generously supported by Academic Affairs, the Alumni Association, and the Student Senate.
