Chancellor: Greetings, Students! I am Devinder Malhotra, chancellor of Minnesota State. As we near the end of the semester, I want to personally – though virtually – commend you for your hard work and perseverance! We are very proud of all of you! Whether you are early on in your educational journey, or you are graduating this spring, or are finishing your coursework, you all have worked hard and COVID-19 has really tested your mettle. You are a resilient bunch and you have much to be proud of. Congratulations!
I would specifically like to recognize the Class of 2020 for reaching this important milestone. Congratulations, Class of 2020!

The Minnesota State community is here for you, far beyond your current experience as a student, and I encourage you to stay connected with us following graduation. Whatever path you are on, we are here for you now and throughout your career. Congratulations!
Presidents: As college and university presidents of the Minnesota State network, we applaud all our students, and we sincerely congratulate the Class of 2020 on your significant milestone.
At this critical juncture with the entire world in flux, the Class of 2020 will forever hold a multitude of unique moments – moments that only your class will truly understand. Never before have our students faced the challenges that you have met. And yet, amid this disruption and uncertainty, you have persevered. You did it. You earned this. And you should be mighty proud. We certainly are.
This stretch of disruption and struggle will pass, and you will be stronger for it. Difficult times give birth to breakthroughs. As the Class of 2020, we need you. Minnesota needs you. Minnesota needs your enthusiasm, your skills and training, your energy, expertise and ideas, and we need your innovation and imagination more than ever.
Your family, friends, faculty, and staff who supported you are rooting for your success. And, now – as alumni – you will be forever be a part of your campus and community and of Minnesota State.
