Metro State University sent a team to the National CAE in Cybersecurity Community Colloquium in St. Louis, Missouri, from October 7-10. The symposium was an enriching experience filled with valuable learning opportunities and great conversations with colleagues, both old and new, and provided a fantastic platform for networking and exploring the latest in cybersecurity/AI education.
A special moment during the event was the recognition of National Security Agency's Lynne Clark for her outstanding contributions to the CAE community and cybersecurity education. Clark’s leadership has been invaluable, and as she prepares to retire in December, she leaves behind a lasting legacy that will continue to inspire.
In the words of Metro State Professor Faisal Kaleem, "While it’s sad to see Lynne retire, we are excited for the future with the newly established Cyber Academic Engagement Office under the Office of the DoD Chief Information Officer, led by Mark Gorak and Diba Hadi. We look forward to seeing the NCAE grow under their leadership."
Our Metro State University Cybersecurity Clinic was well represented at the symposium by two outstanding graduate students, Mohamed A. Mohamed and Annicette Ndjonti. They did an exceptional job explaining our model of providing free cybersecurity risk assessment services to underserved entities such as K12 schools, counties, cities, and small businesses.
