Team Metro Secures Second Place in 2025 MN Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition

Metro State University proudly celebrates Team Metro for securing second place in the 2025 Minnesota Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC). Competing against eight other institutions in a rigorous cybersecurity challenge, the team demonstrated exceptional skills in network defense, system administration, and incident response. Their outstanding performance has earned them a spot in the Regional Wildcard Round, where they will compete for a chance to advance to the Midwest Regional CCDC.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all team members for their dedication and hard work. Special thanks to team mentors Alex Hepp and Logan Johnson for their guidance and expertise, and a special recognition to team captain Amber Jarvis for her exceptional leadership. Team Metro's achievement showcases the university's commitment to excellence in cybersecurity education and workforce readiness. Congratulations, and best of luck in the next stage of the competition!
