Metro State faculty members Queen Booker, graduate program director of the College of Business and Management, Sara Lenertz, senior community faculty and professor of mathematics, and Sumiko Otsubo, professor and department chair of Ethnic, Gender, Historical, and Philosophical Studies, were all selected as 2025 Outstanding Educators by the Minnesota State Board of Trustees as part of the 2025 Board of Trustees Awards for Excellence. The Board of Trustees Awards for Excellence acknowledge and provide system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement of the system's college and university teaching and service faculty.
Metro State congratulates its Awards for Excellence recipients, along with those recipients from our sister institutions. These deserving educators and service faculty will be formally honored at a luncheon planned for April 16. More information can be found on the Academic and Student Affairs at Minnesota State newsletter. Look for further details on Metro State's recipients and other award recipients in March.
