Biography
Dr. Sanghamitra Chaudhuri is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at the College of Management at Metropolitan State University. She teaches HRM, T&D, and Foundations of Research to undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. After receiving her Ph.D. in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, she worked as a lecturer, senior lecturer, and visiting professor at the University of Minnesota, The Ohio State University, and Drexel University. Prior to joining academia, she held several leadership and consulting positions in USA and India in marketing, sales, instructional design, organization development, training and development with various fortune 500 firms. She has published more than 50 research studies on work-life balance, cross-cultural leadership, employee engagement, and mentoring in various conferences and national and international Journals of repute including MIT Sloan Review, Management Learning, Human Resource Development Quarterly, Human Resource Development Review, Human Resource Development International, Advances in Developing Human Resources, Management Research Review, and European Journal of Training and Development. She has received the Elwood F. Holton, III Research Excellence Award for ‘Best Journal Article’ by the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). She has received an outstanding teaching certificate from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, and has been nominated for the ‘outstanding teaching educator award’ for both University of Minnesota and the Metro State University. Her research on ‘Reverse Mentoring’ has been quoted by various media outlets including Built-In, the Washington Post, Forbes, Dow Jones, Wall Street Journal, Canadian Broadcasting, Star Tribune, and HR Magazine. She is an editorial board member of the premier journal, Human Resource Development Review and Human Resource Development International. She has also been invited by various organizations for consulting and to present her research, including Durham University UK, University of Delaware, Tata Steel, India, Minnesota Organization Development Network, and St. Catherine University. She is the immediate past- chairperson for the India HRD Special Interest Group (SIG) at AHRD.
